Revealing the Nature of God through the Study of Creation

“For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”Romans 1:20 KJV

We operate a Christian Outdoor Science School that offers our Intelligent Design Curriculum. The program is based upon Intelligent Design Theory which states that “intelligent causes” are necessary to explain the complex, information-rich, structures of biology and that these causes are empirically detectable. Once these concepts have been established, your students are guided through the experiential adventure of the discovering God’s revelation of Himself in His wondrous Creation.

Beginning with a creative presentation of William Paley’s “Watchmaker Argument” three scientific clues are discovered and offered as the means by which the Evidence of Intelligent Design can logically be detected. As your students embark on their own personal adventure of exploring the natural environment, they find that Creation is replete with these clues and come to the rational conclusion that the remarkable life-forms and biological systems that they have observed must be the result of the work of an “Intelligent Designer”.

Nature Hike at High Sierra Christian Outdoor Science School!OUR APPROACH

One of the unique aspects of our program is our purposeful focus on “relationship”. True ministry does not take place without first establishing trust which is the foundation upon which any relationship is established. Our staff are experienced and thoroughly trained in the fields of natural sciences and the vast array of outdoor education skills but, our main focus remains on the development of a relationship with your students.

Offering a wide variety of hands-on, experiential, creation-based science classes for your 5th through 8th grade students our curriculum meets all current California State Standards for Science Content. After an introduction to a specific area of study, students are divided into “research groups” to collect and record pertinent data. Research groups then share their information and work together to analyze the information to form logical conclusions as a result of their study.

Students adventure up the climbing wall while attending our Nature Hike at High Sierra Christian Outdoor Science School!ADVENTURE

Your students will not only grow in self-confidence and interpersonal relationship skills but, with the guidance of our trained staff, will come to a real experiential understanding of what it means to be a member of the Body of Christ.

commonCore High Sierra Outdoor InstituteJOURNALING

Your students are provided with two different Student Journals for the recording of their experiences. The first student journal is an Academic Journal which is filled-out during the course of their various academic classes. The second student journal is a personal Cabin Journal in which each student will enter written responses to specific questions and scripture references relating to their experiences during the day. At the end of your stay, these two journals are combined into one forming a complete and personal written record of this transformative adventure. This is a great keepsake for the students from their Christian Outdoor Science School experience.
