Revealing the Naturalist Intelligence through the Study of Nature

“The pattern recognizing talents of artists, poets, social scientists, and natural scientists are all built on the fundamental perceptual skills of the naturalist intelligence”Howard Gardner identifying the eighth form of intelligence in his recent book Intelligence Reframed

For several years now, we have made it practice to try and visit schools as often as possible. Initially, this was solely for the purpose of bringing a School Assembly or Science Presentation to your students. During these times, we have been asked about the possibility of offering an actual class, or two, on the school grounds and we have now developed that program.

AT YOUR SCHOOL programs are designed to be of shorter duration than our standard Outdoor Education classes to better fit into a normal school schedule. Classes are offered for individual grade levels, in one classroom, or for multiple grade levels in a classroom, or multi-purpose room. Activities are also offered, for single or multiple grade levels that can take place on the school athletic field. All classes and activities will include a “debrief” session to assess and discuss the applications of the experience. Classes would also be a great follow up to a school wide science presentation.
